In Andhra Pradesh, for admission to the professional course like , B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri), B.D.S., B.Pharm, the Govt. of A.P., conducts an entrance exam called EAMCET every year in the month of April/May. The students are given ranking based on the marks obtained in the test. Admissions are conducted in a systematic manner by means of counseling based on the rank by convener EAMCET.
